ALR Requirements have recently changed!
The BC Government has recently changed the requirements to allow second residences on ALR land, pertaining to dwellings for immediate family.
This extension is available until February 2020, however this deadline requires you to have your building permit submitted and approved prior to the deadline. This means you should be starting to apply no later than December 2019, and preparing your documentation (site orientation plans, floor plan, elevation plans, etc.) prior to this date to ensure all information is correct before applying for your building permit.
We encourage you to come in and speak with a sales representative regarding your home and how it may be affected by changes to the ALR. This is a time sensitive deadline and the process of purchasing a home under ALR restrictions may take longer than anticipated.
